Three Red Balloons

Three Red Balloons is a visual representation of declining mental health through the use of red balloons in an otherwise black and white film. Jake is a man who is down on his luck, just one bad thing after another, and his mental health is taking a toll because of it.

Three Red Balloons takes on a very moody, dark, and depressing visual mood, given that my film is about declining mental health and depression. Depression often can make you lose interest in things you once enjoyed, making the world feel black and white. The red balloons in this film are representing the hope and happiness that is still inside my protagonist, showing that not all hope is lost.
